The location of this place is fantastic, offering a peaceful atmosphere with a beautiful garden view.

The staff was very informative, the room was stylish and unique with a rustic feel. The atmosphere created was QUIET. Location: the hotel was really close to Uda Walawe, Sri Lanka for all of the above, and Udawalawe National Park.

Everything there where 10/10, including good facilities. Really good and nice stuff, free wake up service and ironing...

The location of The Elephant Next-Door is great, just off Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home. The beautiful garden adds to the charm of the place. They offer a huge variety of meals to choose from, and the food is astonishing.

Great host, helped with transport and safari. Delicious food, both dinner and breakfast. Well-decorated villa, comfortable and spacious. Amazing safari guide, early entry to the park. Value for money.

just got back from udawalawe and had the most amazing stay at this hidden gem. the hosts were beyond friendly and helpful, making our golf trip unforgettable. the design of the rooms was stunning, the food was delicious, and the safari was a dream come true. highly recommended!

Spent Christmas at an amazing jungle retreat! The host was so helpful, giving us lots of advice before our trip. The evening meal was served with great care and attention. The accommodation was eco-friendly and well-planned. The safari guide was knowledgeable and charismatic. We also loved the proximity to the Elephant Transit Home.

The road can be a bit noisy at times, but it quieted down by bedtime.

The food was delicious, and Janaka even made a special request for us. The proximity to the Elephant Transit Home and the fantastic safari organized by Janaka made our stay even better. The service here was truly 5-star.

The attention to detail is impressive. The cottage has thoughtful touches and a spacious, clean room with a cleverly designed bathroom. The patio is perfect for evenings. Food is amazing, especially the chicken noodles. The safari experience is breathtaking, with a knowledgeable guide. an impressive stay with tailor-made experiences.

Our stay at The Elephant Next Door was perfect. Janaka, the owner, made us feel so welcome and everything was so easy and convenient. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast is amazing - the best we’ve had on our trip. Janaka helped organise our safari with Leel who was also brilliant. All in all a very special stay, we couldn’t fault a thing.

The rooms are nicely furnished with big beds. The location is quiet and absolutely perfect in a beautiful area. It's not far from the Elephant Transit Home next door.
